Russians attacked 12 settlements in Donetsk region in past day
"Donetsk region police are documenting the consequences of Russian strikes in 12 settlements. Over the past day, the Russians carried out 17 attacks. Most of the shells were fired at the residential sector. People were killed and injured," the National Police Department in Donetsk Region reports.
It is noted that Russian troops shelled Avdiivka, Bakhmut, Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka, Lyman, Velyka Novosilka, Ocheretyne, Karlivka, Pervomaiske, Vremivka, Novokalynove, and Heorhiivka, using aircraft, S-300 missiles, Grad and Smerch MLRS, artillery, and mortars. Twenty-nine civilian objects – nine residential buildings, a school, an appeals court, a city council, shops, outbuildings, cars – were destroyed and damaged.
According to the police data, the invaders fired at Avdiivka from aircraft, no information about casualties or damage was received.
The invaders also fired S-300 missile at Lyman, damaging a private house and an outbuilding, injuring civilians. Pokrovsk came under Smerch MLRS fire. Four apartment blocks, a school, shops, and cars were destroyed. Civilians were killed and injured.
The enemy hit Bakhmut with Grad MLRS and artillery, targeting three private houses, a court, and a city council, killing and injuring people. As a result of mortar attacks, a person was injured in Kostiantynivka," the law enforcement officers said.
The police and the Security Service of Ukraine opened investigations under Art. 438 (violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
On February 15, the police helped to evacuate 152 more people from Donetsk region, bringing the total number to more than 42,200 people, including 5,815 children and 2,175 people with disabilities, since the beginning of the mandatory evacuation.
As reported, Donetsk region is under constant Russian fire. The enemy kills and injures civilians every day.
