There is no alternative to Ukraine's victory in the war waged by Russia against it, just as there is no alternative to Ukraine's membership in the European Union and NATO.

"Can we deter Russian strikes? Yes, we can. Can we protect our cities from Russian missiles? Yes, definitely. Can we liberate our land? There are 1,891 proofs of this – that's how many villages and towns we have already managed to liberate from Russian occupation. Can we restore security in the Black Sea region and the food situation in the world? The Black Sea Grain Initiative and the Grain from Ukraine humanitarian initiative testify to our ability to do so," Zelensky said during the opening ceremony of the Munich Security Conference via video link, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

He also pointed out that the time has come for Ukraine to become a full-fledged EU member: "The majority of Europeans support Ukraine's membership. We have already received the candidate status and are preparing to start accession negotiations. We are already integrated into the European economy in the logistics and energy areas."

In this context, the President of Ukraine assured that Ukraine's membership in the EU and NATO is inevitable, as is victory in the Russian war.

"There is no alternative to Ukraine's victory. There is no alternative to Ukraine's EU membership. There is no alternative to Ukraine's NATO membership. There is no alternative to our unity," the Head of State emphasized.
