Defending Ukrainian sky, F-16 supplies: Ukraine, U.S. air defense commanders talk cooperation
That’s according to the Air Force press service, Ukrinform reports.
"I recently had a phone call with the commander of the U.S. Air Force in Europe and Africa, General James Hacker. We talked about the 365 days of the battle for Ukrainian skies, the current situation at the front, and specific issues of Ukraine’s air defenses," Oleschuk noted.
The two commanders also discussed prospective areas of bilateral cooperation regarding the supply of military equipment, weapons, and ammunition within the framework of international technical assistance to Ukraine, in particular strengthening the capabilities of the Ukrainian air defense system.
The Commander thanked General Hecker, the leadership and people of the United States for their consistent support of Ukraine.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, referring to the Minister for Foreign Affairs Dmytro Kuleba, the topic of providing Ukraine with warplanes has moved from deadlock as the Ukrainian side called on partners to supply all types of weapons required for the nation to win this war.
