Russian troops shell Nikopol district five times today
Mykola Lukashuk, head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Council, said this in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.
"Four communities - Pokrovsk, Marhanets, Chervonohryhorivka and Myrove - came under enemy heavy artillery fire. Fortunately, people were not injured," the report says.
In one of the villages of Marhanets community, two private houses, two cars and a garage were damaged as a result of shelling.
No enemy attacks were recorded in other districts of Dnipropetrovsk region during the day.
Lukashuk noted that from temporarily captured Enerhodar, Russians shell peaceful communities of Nikopol district through the water reservoir.
As reported by Ukrinform, the Zaporizhzhia NPP, which was seized by the Russian military, has not been operating since September last year. As many as 4,500 Ukrainian workers are remaining at the plant, where 11,000 people worked in peacetime.
