Russian troops shelling Chuhuiv, Kupiansk districts in Kharkiv region

Russian forces continue to target the civilian population as they fire at the districts of Kharkiv region close to the border.

Kupiansk and Chuhuiv districts were affected in the past day, says the chief of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Syniehubov, Ukrinform reports.

"This morning, the enemy fired at Kupiansk again. A transport infrastructure facility was damaged. A fire broke out at the site. Fire rescuers scrambled to put it out. Updates are to follow. Yesterday, after 23:00, at least five residential buildings were destroyed as a result of enemy shelling of Kupiansk. A 65 -year -old man was killed, "said the Administration head.

In addition, the enemy shelling damaged an educational facility and maternity hospital.

According to the head of the Administration, humanitarian demining efforts are underway across the region. Thirty-seven explosive objects were neutralized in the past day.

On the line of contact, Ukrainian defenders are holding their ground, continuing to destroy the invasion forces.

As reported earlier, the invasion troops have been constantly firing at Kharkiv region’s districts close to the border with Russia.
