Russian troops are focusing efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions.

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In the past 24 hours, Ukrainian defenders have repelled over 95 enemy attacks in the aforementioned directions, namely near the Luhansk region’s Bilohorivka and Nevske, and the Donetsk region’s Zaliznianske, Dubovo-Vasylivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bakhmut and Ivanivske.

In the Donetsk region’s Volnovakha, Russian invaders set up a repair base at a local vocational school. Students are forced to take part in repair works.

Over the past day, Russian troops launched 27 air strikes and four missile strikes, and opened fire with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) over 70 times.

Meanwhile, Ukraine’s Air Force launched 12 strikes on enemy clusters, and the Ukrainian missile and artillery units hit three Russian command posts, four enemy clusters and one air defense missile system position.

The threat of Russian missile strikes is persisting all over Ukraine.

Russian troops continues violating international humanitarian law, attacking civilian objects and homes with artillery and trying to destroy Ukraine’s critical infrastructure.

In the Volyn, Polissia, Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, no enemy offensive groupings were detected. Russian troops launched mortar and artillery strikes on the Sumy region’s Iskryskivshchyna and Volfyne, and the Kharkiv region’s Budarky, Veterynarne, Vilkhuvatka, Strilecha, Krasne, Ternova and Ohirtseve.

In the Kupiansk and Lyman directions, Russian invaders launched artillery strikes on the Kharkiv region’s Dvorichna, Hrianykivka, Masiutivka and Pishchane; the Luhansk region’s Kuzemivka, Bilohorivka, Nevske, Chervonopopivka and Serebrianske forestry; and the Donetsk region’s Terny, Spirne and Rozdolivka.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian occupiers continue attempts to storm the city of Bakhmut and neighboring settlements. The enemy opened fire on the Donetsk region’s Zaliznianske, Dubobo-Vasylivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Bohdanivka, Chasiv Yar, Kurdiumivka, Klishchiivka, Shyroka Balka, Ozarianivka, Druzhba, Hryhorivka, Maiorsk and New York.

In the Avdiivka and Shakhtarsk directions, Russian troops conducted unsuccessful offensive actions towards the Donetsk region’s Krasnohorivka, Kamianka, Sieverne, Pobieda and Marinka. Twenty-one settlements came under enemy fire, including Vesele, Avdiivka, Vodiane, Berdychi, Pervomaiske, Krasnohorivka and Vuhledar.

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian invaders are holding defense. In certain areas, they are trying to create conditions for the offensive. Over 40 settlements came under enemy fire, namely the Donetsk region’s Novosilka and Vremivka; the Zaporizhzhia region’s Zaliznychne, Huliaipole and Kamianske; the Kherson region’s Vesele, Beryslav, Chornobaivka, Antonivka and Kherson.

In order to mislead Ukraine’s Defense Forces, Russian troops are maneuvering, redeploying convoys near the Kherson region’s Nova Kakhovka and Crimea’s Armiansk. These actions cause dissatisfaction among the Russian military. The main reason is the lack of fuel stocks and the fact that such maneuvers do not prove to be effective.
