German MPs reaffirm military support for Ukraine

Ukraine's Deputy Defense Minister for European Integration Andriy Shevchenko has held a meeting with the head of the Social Democratic Party faction in the Bundestag, Rolf Mützenich, and co-leader of the party, Lars Klingbeil.

The press service of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said this in a Telegram post, Ukrinform reports.

"German parliamentarians expressed their readiness to continue supporting Ukraine and proved their solidarity with the Ukrainian people," the post reads.

The German delegation was informed about the current security situation on the front lines of the Russian-Ukrainian war and the importance of maintaining the positive dynamics of supplying Ukraine with the necessary weapons and other material and technical assistance.

Shevchenko thanked the government and people of Germany for supporting Ukraine in the fight against the Russian aggressor and positive decisions adopted by German parliamentarians in the context of strengthening the Ukrainian army on the battlefield.
