Russian missile attack: five civilians killed in Lviv region
That’s according to Maksym Kozytskyi, head of the Lviv Regional Military Administration, Ukrinform reports.
Initial report said four people were killed.
"In the Zolochiv district, an enemy missile hit a residential area. A fire broke out. It has already been put out. So far, reports say four people were killed. These are four adults – two men and two women. They were in their homes at the time the missile strike," said Kozytskyi.
The head of the administration added that the rubble is still being cleared. There may be more people underneath.
Another body of a male victim was retrieved from under the rubble later in the morning, Kozytskyi wrote in an update.
The fire destroyed three residential buildings. Three cars, a garage, and several outbuildings were affected.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, overnight Thursday, Russian forces launched another massive missile attack on Ukraine. Explosions were reported in Odesa, Mykolaiv, Dnipro, Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Ivano-Frankivsk, Khmelnytskyi, Ternopil, and Lviv regions.
