Body of man with multiple shrapnel wounds found in Kharkiv

Kharkiv police are investigating the circumstances behind the death of a man caused by the explosion of an unidentified object.
That's according to the Kharkiv region police, Ukrinform reports.
"The body of a man with numerous shrapnel wounds to the limbs and torso was found near garages. [...] Elements of the fuse of a hand grenade were recovered from the scene: a fuse ring and a safety lever," the report reads.
Law enforcement officers identified the man as a 34-year-old resident of Kharkiv.
The police conducted a detailed survey of the area for the presence of explosive substances and devices.
Physical evidence recovered on the spot was sent for expert examination.
Investigators opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (suicide).
