State Concern "Ukroboronprom" in cooperation with a NATO member state started the production of 125mm tank ammunition abroad. The first batch has already been handed over to the Ukrainian military.

"Ukroboronprom started producing 125mm rounds for tank guns. Ordered by the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, the first batch of 125mm ammunition for T-64, T-72, and T-80 tanks, with which the Armed Forces of Ukraine hit the invaders, has already been delivered," the press service of the State Concern "Ukroboronprom" informs.

As noted, this is the second type of ammunition, the production of which the State Concern’s enterprises have launched in close partnership with a NATO member state. For security reasons, 125mm rounds will be manufactured outside Ukraine.

"In general, for the first time since independence, Ukraine launched its own production of ammunition: 82mm and 120mm mortar rounds, 122mm and 152mm artillery shells, and now 125mm tank ammunition," Ukroboronprom summarized.

As reported, Ukroboronprom signed a contract with the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine for the supply of 120mm mortar rounds which are also manufactured in cooperation with a NATO member state.
