Ukrainian military complete training to operate SAMP-T missile systems in Italy – mass media

A group of Ukrainian servicemen has completed a training programme in Italy to operate the SAMP-T air defence missile systems.
The relevant statement was made by Italy’s ANSA, referring to its sources, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“A group of around 20 Ukrainian soldiers has completed a training programme in Italy,” the report states.
ANSA’s sources confirmed an earlier report by Il Fatto Quotidiano, saying that the training took place at Sabaudia, in the province of Latina to the south of Rome, and regarded the SAMP-T anti-missile systems.
A reminder that, following the ninth meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contract Group on February 14, 2023, Italy and France announced the delivery of SAMP-T air defence missile systems to Ukraine.
