Missile attack on Zaporizhzhia: Number of injured grows to 33, people may be trapped under rubble
Yuriy Malashko, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, said this in a commentary to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"Currently, it is known about 33 injured people, one person was killed... There is information that there may be people in the apartment that was struck, presumably - an elderly couple," he said.
At the same time, the regional administration currently has no available information on how many people need temporary shelter following the attack. People are being registered to get assistance. More than a hundred citizens have turned to the tents that the city council deployed at the site.
According to the latest data, 28 victims, including three children, have been hospitalized. Aid was provided to five people on the spot.
Earlier, it was reported that 25 people were injured and one was killed in Zaporizhzhia as a result of a Russian missile attack between two nine-story buildings, structures collapsed and a fire broke out. Search and rescue operations are underway.
