Russian troops on offensive on four axes - General Staff

Russian forces are focusing their main efforts on pursuing offensive operations in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Maryinka areas.

That’s according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrinform reports.

"Over this day, the enemy launched one missile and 23 air strikes, also more than 20 times firing on the positions of our troops and civilian infrastructure of populated areas, using MLR systems," the statement reads.

The General Staff notes a high likelihood of more missile and air strikes targeting the entire territory of Ukraine.

The enemy is concentrating its main efforts on conducting offensive operations in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Maryinka areas.

It is noted that Ukrainian defenders repelled more than 50 enemy attacks on the specified axes.

In the Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna, and Slobozhanshchyna directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly as no signs of any offensive groupings being formed have been detected. On the territory of Belarus, combat training of Russian units continues.

The enemy maintains military presence in the areas of Kursk and Belgorod regions bordering Ukraine. The Russians shelled the areas of Horodyshche, Chernihiv region; Kharkivka, Studenok, Iskriskivshchyna, Vorozhba, Bilopylla, and Myropilla of Sumy region; as well as Chervona Zorya, Veterynarne, Krasne, Vovchansk, Vilcha, Volokhivka, Zemlianki, Ambarne, and Kolodyazne of Kharkiv region.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy ran unsuccessful offensive operationsin the areas of Sinkivka, Kreminna, Bilohorivka, and Vyimka. Russian artillery shelled populated areas, including Dvorichna of Kharkiv region; Kupiansk, Makiivka, Nevske, Dibrova, and Bilohorivka of Luhansk region; as well as Vyimka and Vesele of Donetsk region.

In the direction of Bakhmut, the enemy continues its assault effort, which is being held back by Ukrainian defenders, as well as in the Predtechny district of Donetsk region. The settlements of Vasyukivka, Zaliznianske, Novomarkove, Hryhorivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Kostyantynivka, Diliivka, and Druzhba came under enemy fire

In the Avdiivka and Maryinka directions, the enemy carried out offensive attempts toward Keramik, Tonenke, Pervomaiske, and Maryinka of Donetsk region – with no success. The settlements along the contact line, namely: Avdiivka, Lastochkine, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Maryinka, Vuhledar, Velyka Novosilka, Vremivka, and Neskuchne of Donetsk region, were multiple times subjected to enemy shelling.

In the Zaporizhia and Kherson directions, Russian invaders are on defensive. The settlements of Hulyaipole, Zaliznychne, Luhivske, Mala Tokmachka, and Kamianske of Zaporizhzhya region were shelled, as well as Kherson, Beryslav, Burhunka, Antonivka, and Bilozerka of Kherson region.

In addition, Russian invaders have been looting the temporarily captured territory of Kherson region. In particular, in the village of Krasne, Kakhovka district, Russian mercenaries are actively expropriating residents’ vehicles with trailers and trucks into which they load the looted property of local residents.

"Ukraine’s aviation delivered 11 strikes on the manpower and equipment clusters of the occupation force, while rocket and artillery units hit two control points and three clusters," the General Staff wrote.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, Russia’s death toll in Ukraine as of March 25 has amounted to 169,890. It is reported that 720 invaders were killed in action in the past day alone.
