War update: Ukraine's aircraft launch eight strikes against Russian invaders
According to Ukrinform, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said this in a new update as of 18:00 on April 10.
"Throughout the day, the aircraft of the Defense Forces carried out eight strikes on the occupiers' military personnel and equipment concentration areas. An enemy Mi-24 helicopter and six unmanned aerial vehicles of various types (two of them strike drones and four reconnaissance drones) were also shot down. Units of the missile troops and artillery struck an area of concentration of manpower, weapons and military equipment, as well as the enemy's ammunition depot," the report reads.
The enemy launched 21 air strikes and five missile strikes during the day, including four S-300 missiles fired on Kramatorsk. In addition, the invaders launched about 30 attacks using multiple rocket launchers on the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian infrastructure.
The General Staff said Russia continues to disregard the laws and customs of war, so the probability of missile and air strikes on targets across Ukraine remains high.
"Despite numerous losses in equipment and manpower, the enemy does not give up waging a war of aggression. It continues to focus its main efforts on conducting offensive operations in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka sectors, with more than 20 enemy attacks repelled today," the report reads.
The General Staff noted that the Russian invaders continue to strengthen the counter-intelligence regime in temporarily occupied areas. The number of roadblocks and patrols has increased in Starobilsk, Luhansk region, and around the city.
"The situation is somewhat similar in the city of Tokmak, Zaporizhzhia region. Fearing the leak of information about the locations of the units, the invaders began to restrict local taxi drivers from using certain routes," the report said.
