Hungary sponsoring murder of Ukrainians - Zelensky's adviser
This opinion was expressed in a commentary to Politico by Oleg Ustenko, an economic advisor to the President of Ukraine, according to an Ukrinform correspondent
“If you’ve seen the video where Russians cut the head off a Ukrainian soldier — the Hungarians are paying for the knife,” Oleg Ustenko
He believes that the new agreements signed this week in Moscow, which strengthen energy cooperation between Hungary and Russia, will only prolong the war.
“You have to be completely blind not to see what kinds of crimes you are sponsoring. Buying more gas from the Russians means you are giving them more capacity to escalate the war,” Ustenko added.
He called on the EU to intervene and "exert all possible pressure" on Budapest to prevent it from increasing its funding of the Russian regime.
“Hungary is receiving financial support from Brussels, so this is a great tool that might be used immediately,” he said.
