Ukraine’s Commander-in-Chief of AF meets with Chief of French General Staff

"I was pleased to welcome the Chief of the Joint Staff of the Armed Forces of the French Republic, Army General Thierry Burkhard, to Ukraine for the first time. This is a clear signal of support for the Ukrainian army from our French colleagues in the war against the aggressor," Zaluzhny said.
According to him, he held meaningful talks with General Burkhard. He familiarized him with the situation at the front. He elaborated on Ukraine's need for artillery shells and other ammunition, air defense equipment and F-16 fighters.
"We agreed to continue our cooperation and maintain a dialog in the future. For our part, the Armed Forces of Ukraine are ready to share their experience with partners in conducting a full-scale war. I am grateful to General Burkhard and the people of France for their assistance. I appreciate the solidarity and support," Zaluzhny emphasized.
As reported, Zaluzhny discussed the future steps of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to further liberate the territories from Russian invaders with Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff General Mark Milley.
