Leopard 1 tanks to be sent to Ukraine very soon – Danish defence ministry
The relevant statement was made by the Danish Defence Ministry on Twitter, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
On Friday, Danish Defence Acting Minister Troels Lund Poulsen visited the company Flensburger Fahrzeugbau Gesellschaft (FFG) together with members of the Defence Committee and the Foreign Policy Council.
“I am very pleased to be able to invite parliamentary politicians to FFG, so that they can also see how far we are in the process of refurbishing the Leopard 1 tanks. […] We hope to be able to send them to Ukraine very soon,” Poulsen noted.
A reminder that the Danish government entered into cooperation with Germany and the Netherlands to donate at least 100 Leopard 1 tanks to Ukraine.
Danish Defence Acting Minister Troels Lund Poulsen stated earlier that the first shipment of the Leopard 1 tanks would be delivered to Ukraine in spring 2023.
