Rescue operation in Sloviansk ends, 15 people pulled from rubble
The relevant statement was made by Donetsk Regional Military Administration Head Pavlo Kyrylenko on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“According to the updated information, 15 people have been pulled from under the rubble. Five persons (including a 14-year-old girl) were rescued. Ten victims (a 2-year-old boy among them) died,” Kyrylenko wrote.
On April 14, 2023, Russian troops launched a massive missile attack on the Donetsk region’s Sloviansk, having fired eight S-300 missiles. Thirty-nine civilians were affected by the enemy attack: 15 of them were killed and 24 injured.
The most serious damage was caused to the 5-storey apartment block on Parkovyi Lane, Kyrylenko added. Rescue and dismantling works had been lasting for several days there.
