Danilov on explosion in Belgorod: Russian army intimidating its own population
Ukrinform
Oleksiy Danilov, the secretary of the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council, has reacted to yesterday's explosion in Belgorod, noting that the Russian army continues provocative shelling of its own cities in order to intimidate the civilian population and incite escalation.
He said this on his Twitter account, Ukrinform reports.
"Belgorod. Russia's occupation army continues provocative shelling of its cities to intimidate civilians and incite escalation," Danilov wrote.
He added that "only providing long-range weapons to Ukraine will make it possible to localize the source of muscovite provocations at the stage of planning and preparation for launch."
On the evening of April 20, a Russian Su-34 fighter jet accidentally dropped a bomb on the city of Belgorod.
