Ukrinform
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg has said that Ukraine is now ready to liberate more territories amid preparations for a future counteroffensive against Russian forces.

Stoltenberg said this on the sidelines of a meeting at the Ramstein Air Base in Germany on April 21, Ukrinform reports, citing Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty.

"I'm confident that they will now be in a position to be able to liberate even more land," Stoltenberg told journalists.

He noted that one of the main issues during the meeting was accounting for "all the different capabilities, systems, supplies that the Ukrainians need to be able to retake more land.”

According to Stoltenberg, Germany and the United States delivered multiple Patriot air-defense batteries, which he said are "operational in Ukraine." He declined to provide other details or the exact number of Patriot systems that had been already delivered.

The NATO Secretary General said that the alliance's current focus is to ensure Ukraine prevails against Russia's unprovoked invasion, and once the war ends, that Kyiv has "the deterrence to prevent new attacks."

As Ukrinform reported, on April 21, the 11th meeting of the Ukraine Defense Contact Group was held at the Ramstein Air Base, Germany. At the meeting, the issues of air defense, ammunition, and means of support were discussed.
