Border settlements of Kharkiv region suffer up to 60 strikes daily

Settlements of Kharkiv region located near the border with the Russian Federation suffer up to 60 enemy strikes daily.

"The settlements in the north of the region, which are located on the border with the Russian Federation, are struck from 40 to 60 times at least. In addition, in Vovchansk and Kupyansk directions, where the most active combat operations are currently taking place and the front line actually passes, the enemy is constantly trying to hit the positions of our military and break through but suffers losses and withdraws," Head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration Oleh Syniehubov said during the national news telethon.

According to him, demining and restoration of electricity supply in the de-occupied territories are ongoing in the region. Over the past two weeks, it was possible to restore electricity for more than 2,000 clients. This process is directly related to demining. In particular, 250 explosive objects were defused while demining 200 m of power lines.

In total, about 550,000 ha of agricultural land in Kharkiv region need demining.

As reported, on the evening of April 22, the Russian army hit Kharkiv city and the Kharkiv region with S-300 missiles, at least five strikes were recorded.
