Enemy aircraft moving towards Ukraine’s southern regions – Air Force spokesperson
Yuriy Ihnat, the spokesman for the Air Force Command, said this on the air of the national telethon, Ukrinform reports.
“This is not a new invention. This is something that can be used now, as they do not have enough missiles, powerful weapons. That is why they began to modernize and use these bombs without entering our air defense zone. As it is said - without consequences, to attack zones within a radius of up to 70 km. This is happening right now as we are talking. A group of aircraft in the southern direction are moving towards the southern regions, so there may be such cases [of guided aerial bombs’ use] as well. Unfortunately, this challenge is serious now, because the bomb is 500 kg," Ihnat said.
He noted that Russia began to actively use the tactics of dropping guided aerial bombs from Su-35 and Su-34 aircraft across the demarcation area.
As reported by Ukrinform, at least three civilians received injuries of varying degrees in Russia’s shelling of Bilozerka and Stanislav communities in Kherson region.
