Russians start to defend themselves in Zaporizhzhia, Kherson directions – National Guard

"In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, where National Guard soldiers perform combat missions, the enemy starts to defend itself. Not having any achievements on the battlefield, the invaders continue shelling our positions. And barbaric missile attacks by Russians on civilian objects and population centers endanger the lives of the civilian population of Ukraine," Colonel Mykola Urshalovych, deputy director of the planning department of the Main Department of the National Guard of Ukraine, told a briefing an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

According to Urshalovych, the aerial reconnaissance group of the 27th Pechersk Brigade spotted and, in cooperation with artillery units, destroyed four self-propelled guns, two howitzers, six armored vehicles, two units of special tracked vehicles, and 12 units of vehicles in Lyman, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia directions last week.

"In addition, artillery units of the National Guard provided fire support to units in Lyman, Donetsk, and Zaporizhzhia directions. Over the past week, 460 firing missions were completed, the destruction of about 80 enemy personnel, three 120mm mortars with crews, and two vehicles was confirmed," said the representative of the National Guard.
