Russia attacks Ukraine with missiles: Apartment blocks destroyed in three cities, casualties reported

In Dnipro city, two people, including a small child, were killed, and three more people were injured in a missile attack.

In Ukrainka, Kyiv region, two people were injured in a Russian missile attack.

After a pause lasting 51 days, the enemy launched another missile attack on Kyiv. The last missile attack on the capital was launched on March 9, 2023, Head of the Kyiv City Military Administration Serhiy Popko posted on Telegram.

"According to the information that is being clarified, the attack was carried out from strategic aviation planes. According to preliminary data, 11 cruise missiles were destroyed in the airspace of Kyiv," he informed.

In addition to the missiles, two UAVs were shot down (the type of drones is being determined). According to preliminary data, falling fragments damaged a local power line and road surface in Obolonsky district of the capital.

According to Popko, no civilian casualties and no destruction to residential or infrastructure facilities have been reported. The information is checked and clarified.

On the morning of April 28, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 21 of 23 Russian Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles and two UAVs of the operational-tactical level.

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valeriy Zaluzhny reported this on Telegram.

According to him, around 04:00, Russian invaders attacked Ukraine from Tu-95 strategic aircraft from the Caspian Sea area.

"The units of the anti-aircraft missile forces of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in cooperation with the air defense units of other components of the Defense Forces destroyed 21 out of 23 Kh-101/Kh-555 cruise missiles and two UAVs of the operational-tactical level," Zaluzhny informed.

"Targets were destroyed in the areas of responsibility of the Air Command ‘Center’, Air Command ‘East’, and Air Command ‘South’," the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine emphasized.
