Ukraine, Czech Republic mull projects for ammo, arms, training aircraft production - Pavel
This was stated by the President of the Czech Republic, Petr Pavel, who spoke at a joint press conference with the presidents of Ukraine and Slovakia, Volodymyr Zelensky and Zuzana Chaputova, in Kyiv, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
"We have prepared six key joint production projects based on both Ukrainian and Czech companies... As for specific projects, they relate to the production of ammunition, small arms, tank repair, such as the T-62, as well as the potential production of training aircraft. For us, technology transfer and production are priorities so that this production can be partially or completely carried out on the territory of Ukraine," he said.
Pavel pointed out that the final outcome of such production should be used taking into account the technologies that are available from the Czech side and from the Ukrainian one.
The president of the Czech Republic also noted that his country was directing work on the program for the reconstruction of Dnipro and Dnipropetrovsk region and cooperation in the fields of energy, economy, transport infrastructure, and housing.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, Czech President Petr Pavel and his Slovak counterpart Zuzana Chaputova arrived in Kyiv on the morning of April 28.
