Two Russian missile carriers on combat duty in Black Sea
The relevant statement was made by Head of the United Coordinating Press Center of the Southern Defense Forces Natalia Humeniuk during a nationwide telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
“The [enemy’s – Ed.] naval group has slightly reduced, but the missile carriers have remained in place. Yesterday evening, there were 17 of them. Now, there are 14 of them, but two surface missile carriers are remaining on combat duty with a maximum volley of up to 16 Kalibr-type missiles. This means that they are ready to fire missiles but may not do so, as we remember that they have not so many Kalibr-type missiles at this point, and it is difficult to replenish stocks,” Humeniuk told.
In her words, the weather has also deteriorated significantly. There is a force 4 to 5 storm at the sea, which is rather powerful for the Black Sea.
A reminder that, on the morning of April 28, 2023, Russian troops fired 23 cruise missiles (Kh-101 and Kh-555) at Ukraine’s territory. In the Cherkasy region’s Uman, Kyiv region’s Ukrainka, and the city of Dnipro, enemy projectiles caused damage to residential houses. Casualties among civilians were reported.
Ukraine’s Air Force shot down 21 Russian missiles, two operational-tactical unmanned aerial vehicles and two strike drones.
