Five children killed in Russia’s missile attack on Uman – Internal Affairs Ministry
The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Internal Affairs Ministry on Facebook, referring to Ukrainian Internal Affairs Minister Ihor Klymenko, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
According to the data from the ministry, a total of 23 persons were reported killed. Investigative officers and forensic experts have managed to identify 22 bodies so far.
“During identification procedures, five children were found to have been killed: two boys (16 and one and a half years old) and three girls (8, 11 and 14),” Klymenko noted.
One woman has been listed as missing. The search operation continues.
A reminder that, on the dawn of April 28, 2023, Russian troops fired cruise missiles at the Cherkasy region’s Uman. One of the two entrances in a 9-storey apartment block was destroyed completely. A total of 10 houses were damaged.
Twenty-three people were reported killed. Eighteen more civilians were injured and 17 rescued.
