Despite huge losses, Russian troops do not give up their plans to seize Ukraine’s territory and continue shelling and attacking both military and civilians objects.

The relevant statement was made by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

Russian invaders are focusing efforts on conducting offensive actions in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka directions. Over the past day, Ukraine’s Defense Forces have repelled 58 enemy attacks there. The Donetsk region’s Bakhmut and Marinka are remaining the epicenter of hostilities.

In the past 24 hours, Russian troops have launched seven missile strikes and 39 air strikes, and opened fire with multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) 50 times. Casualties among civilians were reported, as well as the damage caused to residential houses and civil infrastructure.

The threat of Russian air and missile strikes is persisting all over Ukraine.

Over the past day, Ukraine’s Air Force has launched three strikes on Russian personnel clusters. The Ukrainian military shot down two enemy Shahed suicide drones, one Orlan-10 reconnaissance drone, and one more unidentified unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV).

Ukrainian missile and artillery units hit one Russian personnel cluster, two fuel depots, two air defense missile systems, one artillery unit, and one more important enemy target.

In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remained rather unchanged. No enemy offensive groupings were detected.

In the Siverskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions, Russian invaders launched air strikes on the Chernihiv region’s Halahanivka and Leonivka, as well as mortar and artillery strikes on the Chernihiv region’s Khrinivka, Zarichchia, Yeline, Tymonovychy and Krasnyi Khutir; the Sumy region’s Ukrainske, Seredyna-Buda, Stukalivka, Iskryskivshchyna, Shpyl, Volfyne, Yunakivka and Mohrytsia; the Kharkiv region’s Chervona Zoria, Hoptivka, Krasne, Ternova, Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory and Nesterne.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian troops did not conduct offensive actions. The enemy actively used UAVs to adjust artillery fire.

In the Lyman direction, Russian troops conducted unsuccessful offensive actions towards Bilohorivka.

In the Bakhmut direction, Russian invaders continue offensive actions. Heavy battles are underway for the city of Bakhmut. The enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive actions towards Ivanivske and Predtechyne.

In the Avdiivka direction, Russian troops conducted unsuccessful offensive actions near Avdiivka and Pervomaiske.

In the Marinka direction, Ukrainian forces repelled Russian attacks near Marinka and Novomykhailivka.

In the Shakhtarsk direction, Russian invaders did not conduct offensive actions.

In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, Russian occupiers continue holding defense and shelling nearby settlements.

In the temporarily occupied city of Sevastopol, it has been restless. Ten oil tanks with a total capacity of 40,000 tonnes were destroyed in yesterday’s huge fire that broke out at an oil depot near Kozacha Bay. In this regard, panicked rumors are circulating among the locals about Russia’s inability to ensure the safety of their own strategic objects. Meanwhile, sensing the beginning of the so-called ‘hot holiday season’ in the temporarily occupied Crimea, Russian servicemen began to submit vacation leave requests, indicating Russia’s continental territory as a vacation place.

The aforementioned oil depot provided fuel for Russia’s Black Sea Fleet warships launching missile strikes on Ukraine’s peaceful settlements. Russian terrorists targeted civilians and civilian objects. According to the available data, there were no casualties following the fire at that oil depot.
