Russians kill 478 children in Ukraine
The Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"As of the morning of May 2, 2023, more than 1,438 children were affected in Ukraine due to Russia's full-scale armed aggression. According to official information from juvenile prosecutors, 478 children were killed and more than 960 were injured," the report reads.
The figures are not final as work is underway to establish casualty figures in areas of hostilities and in temporarily occupied and liberated territories.
Most children were killed or injured in Donetsk region - 453, Kharkiv region - 275, Kyiv region - 128, Kherson region - 94, Zaporizhzhia region - 89, Mykolaiv region - 89, Chernihiv region - 70, Dnipropetrovsk region - 67, and Luhansk region - 66.
On May 1, a 14-year-old boy was killed by enemy shelling in the village of Lyzunivka, Chernihiv region.
