War update: Ukraine’s Air Force launches 13 strikes on enemy positions

This is stated in the latest report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published on Facebook.

"Over the past 24 hours, the enemy launched two missile strikes, 68 airstrikes, and 67 MLRS attacks. Civilians were killed and injured, private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure objects were destroyed and damaged," the report reads.

The enemy continues to focus its main efforts on conducting offensive operations in Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiyivka, and Maryinka directions – 40 enemy attacks were repelled. The fiercest battles are fought for Bakhmut and Maryinka.

No signs of the formation of offensive groups were detected in Volyn and Polissia directions.

In Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna directions, the enemy maintains its military presence in the areas near Russia–Ukraine border.

Over the past day, Buchka in Chernihiv region; Novovasylivka, Rozhkovychi, Vorozhba, Basivka, Yunakivka, Myropillia, Zapsillia in Sumy region; Sotnytskyi Kozachok, Huryiv Kozachok, Baranivka, Chervona Zoria, Strilecha, Hatyshche, Vovchanski Khutory, Mykolaivka in Kharkiv region came under artillery and mortar fire.

The enemy did not conduct offensive operations in Kupyansk direction. Topoli, Kamyanka, Fyholivka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Lyman Pershyi, Kyslivka, Krokhmalne, Berestove in Kharkiv region came under enemy fire.

In Lyman direction, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the area of Bilohorivka to find weak points in Ukraine’s defense. Makiyivka and Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; Torske, Verkhniokamyanske, Spirne in Donetsk region came under artillery fire.

In Bakhmut direction, the enemy continues to go on the offensive. Fighting continues in the city of Bakhmut. In addition, over the past day, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the direction of New York settlement. Vasiukivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Bila Hora, Pivnichne, Pivdenne, New York in Donetsk region were struck.

In Avdiyivka direction, the enemy carried out offensive operations near Sieverne in Donetsk region, had no success. The settlements of Novokalynove, Berdychi, Avdiyivka, Lastochkyne, Sieverne, Tonenke, Karlivka, Netaylove, and Pervomaiske were hit.

In Maryinka direction, the enemy tries to improve its tactical position. Numerous enemy attacks in Maryinka and Novomykhailivka districts were repelled. Krasnohorivka, Donetsk region, also came under fire.

In Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy shelled the settlements of Vuhledar, Bohoyavlenka, Novoukrayinka, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Shakhtarske in Donetsk region.

In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy continues to hold the defense. A missile attack was launched on the city of Zaporizhzhia and an air strike – on Kizomys, Kherson region. The settlements of Vremivka, Novosilka, Novopil in Donetsk region; Huliaypole, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Orikhiv, Novoandriyivka, Kamyanske in Zaporizhzhia region; Kapulivka in Dnipropetrovsk region; Chervonyi Mayak, Tokarivka, Antonivka, Kizomys, Kherson in Kherson region came under enemy fire. Civilians were killed.

According to the General Staff data, forced passportization of Ukrainian citizens in Henichesk district in the temporarily captured Kherson region is ongoing. The Russian occupiers constantly put pressure on the locals, threaten them with deportation and confiscation of property and ban them from moving between settlements. The aggressors show a prejudiced attitude towards people with Ukrainian passports.

Over the past day, Ukraine’s missile and artillery units hit an enemy build-up area, an electronic warfare station, three artillery units on firing positions, three ammunition and fuel depots, as well as an anti-aircraft missile system," the report says.
