Invaders trying to take control of Bakhmut by May 9 - Maliar

Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Malyar wrote about this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"The enemy is trying hard to take control of Bakhmut by May 9. To accomplish this task, they are pulling "Wagnerites" from other directions and replacing them with assault troops of paratroopers who are now fighting in the Bakhmut direction," Maliar said.

At the same time, she emphasized that Ukrainian soldiers are not allowing the enemy to break through the defense.

"In addition, Ukrainian artillery fire destroyed Wagner's ammunition storage sites," the deputy minister added.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, according to the spokesman for the Eastern Group of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Serhiy Cherevaty, Ukrainian defenders eliminated 133 invaders near Bakhmut yesterday, and 176 more were wounded.
