The Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) has neither confirmed nor denied its involvement in the blowing up of a car owned by Russia’s anti-Ukrainian propagandist, Zakhar Prilepin.

The relevant statement was made by the press service of the Security Service of Ukraine (SSU) in a commentary to Ukrinform.

“Officially, we can neither confirm nor deny the involvement of the SSU in this or that ‘bavovna’ [a Ukrainian euphemism for an ‘explosion’ in Russia – Ed.] that happens to the occupiers and their henchmen. At the same time, as the Head of the SSU, Vasyl Maliuk, repeatedly noted, for the Russians who brought the war, human deaths and violence to our land, ‘bavovna’ was burning, is burning and will continue to burn,” the report states.

According to the SSU, death is the only prospect that they can offer Russian occupiers.

“We will be able to talk about who is behind this or that case already after our victory, which is certainly coming soon,” the SSU emphasized.

A reminder that, on May 6, 2023, Zakhar Prilepin’s car was blown up in Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod region. The driver was killed, and Prilepin was seriously injured.
