Destruction in Kherson region as Russia launches five guided aerial bombs on Sunday

Russia’s warplanes dropped five guided aerial bombs on Kizomys in Kherson region, where a gas main was damaged with no casualties reported.

That’s according to Oleksandr Prokudin, the chief of the regional military administration, Ukrinform reports.

"Russian aviation continues to destroy Kizomys. Five hits by guided aerial bombs were recorded. As a result of the strikes, a gas pipeline and about seven local homes were damaged, three of them – completely destroyed," he said.

According to Prokudin, no civilian casualties were reported.

He also reported that Russian artillery struck just outside the village of Yantarne, as a result of which a 62-year-old woman sustained injuries, which were treated on the spot and required no hospitalization.

As reported earlier, in the early hours of Sunday, May 7, the Russian forces carried out over 50 strikes targeting Ukraine’s Kherson region. According to the Kherson regional authorities, the Russian occupiers opened fire 237 times, employing artillery, MLR systems, mortars, tanks, drones, and aviation, also launched a missile attack.
