Russia halts financing for its occupation administration in Zaporizhzhia region

Ukrinform
Russian occupation authorities have been left without financing in the Zaporizhzhia region’s temporarily occupied areas, as Russia does not believe they are capable of holding the region during the upcoming counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The relevant statement was made by the National Resistance Center, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

In particular, wage arrears in Russia's so-called ‘military and civil administration’ in the Zaporizhzhia region’s temporarily occupied areas are ranging between 1 and 2.5 months.

According to the occupation leadership, funds have been blocked in Russia’s Treasury due to ‘red tape obstacles’.

However, according to the National Resistance Center’s sources, it was Moscow’s decision to block financing. Russians decided not to pay the occupation authorities in view of the situation on the battlefield.

A reminder that, under the guise of ‘evacuation’ from the temporarily occupied areas, Russian invaders are taking civilians to the places, where they are deploying their military equipment and units to use people as a living shied.
