Ukraine’s air defenses destroy 17 Shahed-type drones at night - Air Force

Since midnight on May 13, the Defense Forces of Ukraine have shot down 17 enemy Iranian-made Shahed-136/131 attack UAVs.

The Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

On the night of May 13, the enemy attacked Ukraine from the northern and southern directions with Shahed-136/131 drones. 21 launches were recorded. As many as 17 barrage munitions were destroyed in various areas with anti-aircraft missile weapons, fighter jets, and mobile fire groups.

"Unfortunately, enemy drones hit infrastructure facilities in Khmelnytskyi region. Local authorities and services are working to eliminate the aftermath," the Air Force said.

In addition, the Orlan-10 Russian UAV of operational-tactical level was destroyed at night.

During the previous day, on May 12, air defense units destroyed four Lancet-type attack UAVs.

Tactical aircraft of Ukraine’s Air Force carried out dozens of flights striking enemy positions and conducting air cover missions.

As Ukrinform reported, five people were injured by glass fragments after an enemy drone hit an industrial facility in Khmelnytskyi region.
