Ukrainian forces hit Russian command post, four artillery units – General Staff

Units of Ukraine's rocket forces and artillery yesterday hit a Russian command post, six troop concentration areas, four artillery units in a firing position and a number of important targets.

The General Staff of Ukraine's Armed Forces said this in a Facebook post, according to Ukrinform.

"Tonight, once again, Russian terrorists attacked Ukraine with Shahed kamikaze drones. Information regarding the consequences of this attack is currently being clarified. Over the past day, the enemy launched 11 missile attacks, particularly on the cities of Kharkiv, Kostiantynivka and the village of Zolochiv. In addition, the enemy launched 41 airstrikes and carried out 74 attacks using multiple rocket launchers on the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements. Civilians were affected, and private residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged," the post said.

The General Staff warned that the probability of missile and air strikes across Ukraine remains high.

The enemy continues to concentrate its main efforts in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka and Marinka sectors, with 46 engagements recorded there in the past 24 hours. Bakhmut and Marinka remain at the epicenter of hostilities.

In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, the operational situation has not changed significantly, and no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups have been detected.

In the Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna sectors, the enemy continues to maintain a military presence in the areas bordering Ukraine.

The enemy carried out mortar and artillery shelling of the settlements of Hirsk, Leonivka and Popivka of the Chernihiv region, Volfyne, Sadky and Mohrytsia of the Sumy region, as well as Oleksandrivka and Starytsia of the Kharkiv region.

In the Kupiansk sector, the occupiers conducted unsuccessful offensives outside Masiutivka and Synkivka. They carried out airstrikes near Vilshana and Kyslivka. The settlements of Kamianka, Topoli, Krasne Pershe, Fyholivka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kindrashivka and Tabaivka of the Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka of the Luhansk region came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.

The enemy did not conduct offensive operations in the Lyman sector. The enemy carried out airstrikes outside the settlements of Yampil, Dibrova, Bilohorivka, Verkhniokamianske and Spirne. Makiivka of the Luhansk region, as well as Bilohorivka, Verkhniokamianske, Spirne and Berestove of the Donetsk region, were hit by artillery fire.

In the Bakhmut sector, the enemy continues to conduct offensive operations. Heavy fighting continues for the city of Bakhmut. In addition, throughout the day, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive action in the direction of the settlements of Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka and Predtechyne. The enemy carried out airstrikes near Ivanivske and Stupochky. Enemy shelling was recorded in Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Chervone, Kostiantynivka, Druzhba, Pivnichne, Toretsk and Shumy of the Donetsk region.

In the Avdiivka sector, the enemy carried out airstrikes outside Novokalynove and Avdiivka and shelled the settlements of Stepove, Lastochkyne, Avdiivka, Tonenke, Netailove, Pervomaiske and Karlivka of the Donetsk region.

In the Marinka sector, units of Ukraine's defense forces repelled multiple enemy attacks near the city of Marinka. At the same time, Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Pobieda and Novomykhailivka of the Donetsk region came under enemy fire.

In the last 24 hours, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations in the Shakhtarske sector. The settlements of Vuhledar, Novoukrayinka and Prechystivka came under fire.

The enemy remains on the defensive in the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson sectors. The enemy carried out airstrikes outside the settlements of Kizomys and Stanislav of the Kherson region. About 40 settlements came under fire, among them Vremivka and Novopil of the Donetsk region, Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Bilohiria, Mala Tokmachka and Kamianske of the Zaporizhzhia region, Nikopol of the Dnipropetrovsk region, Zolota Balka, Vesele, Lvove, Antonivka,, Dniprovske and Kizomys of the Kherson region and the city of Kherson.

According to the General Staff, the enemy continues to try to replenish personnel losses due to forced mobilization in the temporarily captured territories of Ukraine. In a number of settlements of the Kherson region, there are cases of the forcible detention of men who previously renounced Ukrainian citizenship in favor of Russian citizenship. After the detention, during the first introductory interview, the occupiers demand from such citizens an unlawful monetary reward for delaying mobilization. Those who refuse to pay a bribe or do not have the required amount of funds are sent by the occupiers to field camps to undergo an accelerated course of general military training. After that, these individuals are sent to the settlements bordering the contact line.

"Throughout the day, the combat aircraft of Ukraine's defense forces launched 17 strikes on areas where enemy personnel and military equipment were located. Ukrainian defenders also shot down two Orlan-10 reconnaissance UAVs and destroyed a Supercam UAV. Ukraine's rocket forces and artillery units hit a command post, six troop concentration areas, four artillery units, an air defense system and seven other important enemy targets," the General Staff said.
