Russians fire at nine regions of Ukraine in 24 hours
That's according to a report by the Regional Military Administrations on the situation in the regions of Ukraine as of 9:00 a.m. on Monday, May 15.
In Chernihiv region, the Russian army fired twice at Koriukivka district with self-propelled artillery systems and mortars over the last day.
Several houses and a transformer were damaged on the outskirts of the border village of Yeline (Snovsk community).
In Sumy region, Russians fired eight times at border communities yesterday. 109 explosions were recorded. The settlements of Yunakivka and Bilopillia communities were shelled.
In the Bilopillia community, Russian troops fired mortars, 32 explosions were heard. Grenade launchers were also used, 59 explosions were heard.
The Russians fired at the Yunakivka community with artillery (10 explosions) and mortars (8 explosions).
On Monday morning, mortar shelling (seven explosions) was recorded in the Bilopillia community.
In Zaporizhzhia region, the Russian army conducted 84 attacks on settlements close to the front line: 77 - from artillery, three - from aviation, three - from MLRS and one - from UAVs.
19 localities came under fire: Huliaipole, Novoiakovlivka, Prymorske, Malynivka, Poltavka, Kamianske, Stepove and others.
A 48-year-old woman was injured in Novoiakovlivka during the shelling. A shell hit her house.
Six people, including a 7-year-old girl, were injured during a massive attack on the village of Prymorske. A 24-year-old man died in hospital from his injuries. A 30-year-old man is in serious condition.
At night, the aggressors shelled the center of Orikhiv.
Over the day, 26 destructions of civilian infrastructure were recorded.
In Dnipropetrovsk region yesterday afternoon the enemy struck again at Nikopol district, firing twice at Marhanets community. A man and a woman born in 1985 were hospitalized. Seven private houses, an outbuilding, a car, and two power lines were damaged.
In the Kharkiv region, in the Slobozhanske direction, the Russian army fired mortars and artillery at Oleksandrivka and Starytsia.
In the Kupiansk direction, the invaders conducted unsuccessful offensives in the areas of Masiutivka and Synkivka, and launched air strikes in the areas of Vilshany and Kysylivka.
Kamianka, Topoli, Krasne Pershe, Fyholivka, Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zapadne, Kindrashivka and Tabaivka came under artillery and mortar fire.
Yesterday afternoon, the enemy shelled the village of Starytsia in Chuhuiv district with artillery. A 59-year-old woman and a 65-year-old man were killed.
Two private households were damaged and a fire broke out due to shelling in Podoly village, Kupiansk district.
In Luhansk region, the enemy made 97 attacks (396 shells) over the last day: 33 mortar, seven MLRS, 34 artillery, 13 tanks, six UAVs and five air strikes.
Russians shelled Stelmakhivka, Makiivka and Bilohorivka with artillery and mortars yesterday. Another air strike was registered in the area of Dibrova.
In Donetsk region, the enemy fired 19 times at localities, including AAvdiivka, Bakhmut, Kostiantynivka, Kramatorsk, Kurakhove, Chasiv Yar, Velyka Novosilka, Malotaranivka, Pivnichne, Vremivka, Druzhba, Karlivka, Umanske.
58 residential buildings (including 12 apartment buildings), two buildings of Donbasenergo, two cars, two gas pipelines, a gas distribution point, and a school were damaged.
In Donetsk region, seven people were injured overnight.
In Mykolaiv region, Russians shelled a settlement of the Ochakiv community with multiple rocket launchers at night.
Yesterday, during the day, the enemy conducted artillery and mortar attacks on the water area of the Ochakiv community.
In Bashtanka district, Snihurivka community came under fire yesterday.
In the Kherson region, the invaders made 86 attacks (fired 381 shells) over the day: 42 artillery attacks, 22 mortar attacks, six tank attacks, 15 UAV attacks and one air attack. The enemy attacked Kherson four times (fired nine shells).
An unexploded ordnance exploded at an agricultural enterprise in the village of Myroliubivka, Novovorontsovka community. Five people were killed.
Russian artillery attacked a residential building in the village of Respublikanetsof the Mylove territorial community. A 64-year-old man was killed.
On Monday morning, at 4:30 a.m., the building of the Academy of Continuing Education in Kherson was damaged by two enemy UAVs.
Another 56 people were evacuated from the territory of the region liberated from the Russians.
