Air defenses downed 6 Kalibr, 2 Iskander-K missiles over Odesa region overnight

Over Odesa region, Ukrainian air defense forces downed eight cruise missiles launched by the Russian army from missile carriers in the Black Sea and ground systems located in the temporarily occupied territory.
The Operational Command South said this in a Facebook post, Ukrinform reports.
"The attack was launched from missile carriers in the Black Sea and from land-based operational-tactical missile systems located in the temporarily occupied territory. The air defense forces destroyed 6 Kalibr and 2 Iskander-K missiles. Most of the missiles were shot down over the sea, while two were destroyed over the city’s industrial area," the report says.
It is noted that missile debris fell on the buildings of industrial enterprises, killing a guard.
As reported, on the evening of May 17, the Russian invaders launched a missile attack on Odesa, killing one person and injuring two more.
