Norway to donate long-range MLRS, artillery location radars to Ukraine
Norwegian Defense Minister Bjorn Arild Gram said this at a meeting with UK Defense Secretary Ben Wallace in Northwood, Ukrinform reports, citing the Norwegian government's website.
"Today we are confirming the delivery of long-range artillery and radars. Norway provides three Arthur artillery location radars and up to eight long-range rocket artillery of the MLRS type," Gram said.
He added that the donations are made in close collaboration with the UK.
According to the Norwegian defense minister, these are significant contributions to the Ukrainian defense, and show the determination of the Norwegian and British governments to stand together in their support for the Ukrainian people.
He also announced that from this summer on, Norway will double its number of instructors in Operation Interflex to train Ukraine's military.
During the meeting, the two ministers have also agreed to continue and to strengthen their support to Ukraine.
