Pistorius calls for not reducing supply of weapons to Ukraine
He made this statement in an interview with Augsburger Allgemeinen, as reported by a correspondent from Ukrinform.
"Those who call for an end to arms supplies to Ukraine today are abandoning Ukraine to its fate. Halting arms supplies today would mean the end of Ukraine tomorrow," said the German politician.
He emphasized the need to help Ukraine "with everything we can."
At the same time, the minister reiterated that Germany does not have any fighter jets that it could transfer to Ukraine.
The head of the Bundeswehr also noted that allies in Europe and NATO need to reassess the security situation and the readiness of their forces. He assured that the Bundeswehr is always ready for action.
As previously reported, Germany has approved a record military assistance package to Ukraine worth over 2.7 billion euros.
