Skibitskyi: Russians trying to disrupt counteroffensive with missile attacks
Deputy Chief of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Vadym Skibitskyi said this in a comment to the RBC-Ukraine media outlet.
At the same time, according to him, intensive strikes are taking place both on the front line and on the rest of the territory of Ukraine.
"Earlier, they failed to knock out our energy system, and now they have completely different priorities: to disrupt our plans and preparations for active actions during the spring-summer campaign," Skibitskyi noted.
According to him, the Russian army is trying to hit the clusters of weapons and military facilities with missiles.
"Regarding missile weapons – currently the Russians are firing them at our command posts (decision-making centers), supply routes, and centers of concentration of ammunition, equipment, fuel storage areas, as well as manpower clusters. The enemy has begun to pay special attention to the areas where our air defense systems are located," Skibitskyi said.
In addition, the Russians actively use the aviation component on the front line.
According to the military intelligence representative, operational-tactical aviation uses about 20-25 KAB-500 aerial bombs for strikes on the front line and near-front territories every day.
As reported, Andriy Yusov, a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense, previously stated that Russia switches to defensive operations along the entire front line and has no opportunities to repeat large-scale offensive actions.
