Heads of Czech, Slovak Ministries of Foreign Affairs discuss support for Ukraine

This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, as reported by a correspondent from Ukrinform.

It is noted that the ministers confirmed their mutual interest in continuing regional cooperation, especially within the S3 and V4 formats. They also agreed to continue supporting Ukraine, preparing for its post-war reconstruction, strengthening the supply of military equipment, and reducing energy dependence on Russia.

Another topic of discussion was the further expansion of the European Union (EU).

The ministers also exchanged experiences in the field of disinformation, which is one of the main security threats faced by the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The Czech minister welcomed the deepening cooperation between the Czech and Slovak StratCom groups in sharing know-how in combating disinformation.

This is the first foreign trip of the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Miroslav Lajčák, since his appointment.

Czech-Slovak cooperation in the field of security is important, and the Czech Republic plays a significant role as a leading state in the NATO battle group stationed in Slovakia, where 447 Czech soldiers are currently deployed.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, the "Gift for Putin" project in the Czech Republic announced the completion of the collection of 2.3 million dollars for the purchase of the RM-70 system and rockets for Ukraine.
