400 mines in sea waters around Ukraine - Humeniuk
Natalia Humeniuk, the head of the joint press center of the Operational Command "South, said this on the air of the United News telethon, according to Ukrinform.
"The sea of Ukraine is mined, in particular, containing more than 400 sea mines, given that the occupiers themselves declared this danger and indicated the number of mines that can only be known by those who directly mined the sea," she said.
According to Humeniuk, over 20 mines have been destroyed this year. Sometimes mines explode uncontrollably, and in this case, they cause damage to the area up to 200 meters away. A mine detonated in water can affect all living things within a kilometer radius.
Natalia Humeniuk, the head of the joint press center of the Operational Command "South" said that the authorities of a number of coastal towns are arranging alternative places to relax at sea.
If they are properly equipped from a safety point of view, they will be opened. However, there is still a high air danger, as the enemy often attacks the air zone of the coast. Therefore, it is necessary that people who will rest in such equipped places have the opportunity to go to the shelter, Humeniuk said.
As Ukrinform reported with reference to Natalia Gumenyuk, in the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region, boat owners spoil their boats so that Russian invaders cannot use them.
