Woman killed as Russians launch mortar strikes on Kherson region’s Kozatske

A woman has been killed in Russia’s mortar shelling of the Kherson region’s urban-type settlement of Kozatske.
The relevant statement was made by Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
According to the investigative data, Russian troops opened fire with mortars on the morning of May 23, 2023.
Under the procedural guidance of Kherson Regional Prosecutor’s Office, a pre-trial investigation was launched over the violation of the laws and customs of war in addition to intentional homicide.
A reminder that, on May 22, 2023, Russian invaders opened fire on the Kherson region 61 times. One civilian was reported killed.
