Russian Volunteer Corps says its fighters crossed into Russia again
That's according to the Telegram channel of the Russian Volunteer Corps, Ukrinform reports.
"Yesterday, Russian border guards celebrated their professional holiday. RVC fighters congratulated them on another successful crossing of the 'holey' state border! The purpose of our transition will become known in the near future. Stay tuned for updates," the message reads.
On May 22, the Russian Volunteer Corps and the Freedom of Russia Legion reported on social media that they had liberated some settlements and introduced their forces into the town of Graivoron in Russia's Belgorod region.
The same day, the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry said that the Freedom of Russia Legion and the Russian Volunteer Corps had launched an operation to liberate Russia from Putin's regime in order to create a security zone to protect the Ukrainian civilian population, but exclusively with the participation of Russian citizens.
On May 24, RVC said they had advanced 42 km deep into the Belgorod region. Volunteer formations controlled some settlements for 24 hours.
On May 25, it was announced that RVC had again crossed into Russia.
