"Since 1 June, the enemy has said that no one will be able to see a doctor unless they have a Russian passport, no one will be able to get free medicine without a Russian passport. I want to give a banal example: if someone suffers from chronic illnesses and needs medicines to maintain their vital functions, they will not be able to get them unless they have a Russian passport. So the residents are faced with a choice - either life with a Russian passport or death," Fedorov added.

In addition, he said, governor Yevhen Balytsky set a task that everyone in the occupied territory should have Russian passports by 1 September.

According to the mayor of Melitopol, there is definitely no mandatory passport issue in the occupied territories.
