MOH calls on residents of areas affected by explosion of Kakhovka HPP to drink bottled water

Residents of the southern regions affected by the explosion of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant are called on to drink bottled water.

The Ministry of Health reported this on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"We urge residents of the affected settlements to use only bottled water and strictly follow the instructions of rescuers for further evacuation," the statement said.

It is noted that medical institutions in the right-bank Kherson region continue to provide medical care to everyone who needs it. Currently, hospitals are provided with drinking water and powered by generators.

The Ministry of Health emphasizes that pharmacies currently have a sufficient supply of medicines, including sorbents and antibiotics.

All patients can seek emergency medical care by calling 103. In the Kherson region. There are 29 emergency medical and disaster medicine teams working. Emergency teams from neighboring regions are also on standby to be deployed in case of emergency.

Ukrhydroenergo stated that the Kakhovka HPP was completely destroyed and cannot be restored.
