Three dead as Russians fire at evacuation boat - Kherson official
That’s according to Oleksandr Prokudin, head of the Kherson Regional Military Administration, who broke the tragic news on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"Thirteen people were injured after a boat used to evacuate people from the left bank (of the Dnipro River, occupied by the Russian invasion forces – ed.) was fired at. Three civilians were killed, 10 more were injured, including two law enforcers," the report said.
Prokudin noted that the 74-year-old man covered the woman with his body when the enemy opened fire. The Russians shot him in the back. He succumbed to his wounds as doctors did not have enough time to provide the required assistance.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, an International Criminal Court misision deployed in Kherson region to see firsthand the consequences of the Kakhovka HPP dam breach.
