Ukraine returned another 95 of its defenders as part of the latest prisoner-of-war swap.
The Head of the President's Office, Andriy Yermak, announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"POW exchange. We are getting back 95 of our people. The list includes soldiers from the Armed Forces and National Guard, as well as border guards," the statement reads.
Among them are 93 privates and sergeants, as well as two officers.
"We also managed to return the participants of a special operation, who flew a helicopter to the Azovstal steelworks in encircled Mariupol. Many of our people held in captivity had been wounded," Yermak noted.
As reported, during the negotiations on the exchange of prisoners of war, the Ukrainian side always prioritizes the return of gravely injured and seriously ill defenders.
