About 270 houses remain flooded in one of district in Kherson region
The head of the Beryslav Regional Military Administration Volodymyr Litvinov wrote this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
"270 residential buildings, schools in Kalynivske and Bobrovyi Kut, pumping stations, bridges, a cemetery in the village of Zapovit of the Kalyniv territorial community, a transformer substation in the village of Novohrednieve, a modular rural health post in the village of Blahodativka remain flooded," the statement said.
According to Litvinov, as of the morning of June 12, the water level in the Kakhovka reservoir has decreased by 0.88 meters and is 9.04 meters. The total water drop in the reservoir is 7.73 meters. The water level in the Inhulets River is 5.26 meters, steadily decreasing overnight (-0.35 meters), the amount of decrease is 1.12 meters. The water level continues to fall in all flooded/inundated settlements.
As noted, ten settlements in the area of two territorial communities are in the flood zone. In Tyahynska territorial community - the villages of Tiahynka, Odradokamianka, Burhunka, in Kalynivske territorial community - the town of Kalynivske, the villages of Bobrovyi Kut, Krasnoliubetsk, Zapovit, Novohrednievo, Mala Seidemynukha, Blahodativka.
"The settlements of Odradokamianka and Mykolaivka remain cut off from road communication due to precipitation," the regional authorities informed.
Last night, there were no cases of flooding of residential buildings and critical infrastructure.
In total, 238 people were evacuated from the flooded settlements of the district, including 19 children and four people with limited mobility.
As Ukrinform reported, as of the morning of June 12, 46 cities, towns and villages in Kherson region remain underwater - 32 on the right bank and 14 on the left bank, the water continues to recede, and the rescue operation continues. On the liberated territory, 3801 houses are flooded.
On the night of June 6, the Russian army blew up the dam of the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant.
